Well we’ve returned very happy and exhausted from Wenatchee on Sunday. The annual Session for Job’s Daughters was last week and as pageant director for the MWJD program, I had both hubby and I up to our eye balls in things to get done before the big event.
While a full write up and review will have to follow in future posts I am happy to report we are back and slowing integrating into the non-Masonic real world. I’m even getting together with friends on Sunday to go to the Mariners game! (Although hubby is headed off for a week in California at the DeMolay leadership camp as a staffer, which means I’ll be by myself for a week. Maybe I’ll get some scrapbooking done!)
The big surprise of the trip was that I received the degree of royal purple. It was a complete surprise to me though I’m beginning to realize that many people have known about this plan for a good six months to a year. Here is one blurry photo of me flipping out and being pushed to the stage to receive the award. As more pictures make their way to me I can post more and fill everyone in. Basically it’s an award nominated by your peers and reviewed by a committee to honor those who have given 5 or more years of continuous service to the organization.
My sister flew in from California and came down with my parents to witness the big moment. I’m just glad I took the time to shower that morning, even if I didn’t have time to fix my hair or put on makeup!
