There haven’t been very many posts from us lately and we’ve had even fewer emails and phone calls with the outside world. The reason you ask? Pageant Madness! It’s not as wide spread as March Madness but in our household it’s all the rage right now.
In Job’s Daughters I’ve been on the MWJD committee for two years. The appointment is for three years which means I have 12 months left before I’m off. This also means that this year is the big year for me. I’m pageant director and co-chairman of the committee. AND PAGEANT IS IN 9 DAYS!!!
June 22nd, in Wenatchee, Washington the big event will take place and we’ll walk away with one new MWJD. We have 15 contestants this year which is very exciting and we’re holding pageant at a new location and back together with Grand Bethel Session which is all the more exciting.
So, alas dear blog readers, you’ll not hear much from me (or hubby for that matter) for the next two weeks. I promise we’ll be back and posting faithfully again soon enough.
Husband has been roped into the whole thing because he’s creating the pageant program and an experimental video opening we’re going to try this year. He’ll be heading to Wenatchee with me on the 20th and we’ll be back home on the 24th.
So, we haven’t dropped off the planet, we’re just in pageant season.
BUT if you come to our party on Friday you’ll get to see us both!
