Gone are the days of holding their head up for support. Putting them on our shoulder for burps. Hiccups after every meal. Diapers that “smell sweet” (well as good as they can any way). Trimming their nails while they sleep. Swaddling with one arm out. Sleeping in the same crib.
“How big are you? Soooo big”
“Driving the milk truck, driving the milk truck”
“Tick Tock Baby Clock”
Sitting them in the corners of the couches. Putting them in the middle of a quilt and having them stay there. Daily naps with Mommy.
Now we’re on to solid foods. Hand pats, foot stomps, jumping in the roo, fresh new teeth. We’re out growing the sink for baths and have the occasional day where they only have 4 meals and sleep until 9am. Six month sized clothes are being out grown and nine month clothes will be pulled out of storage soon. You don’t have to grab a pee cloth every time you change a diaper. We’re using blanket sleepers and lovey cloths for naps. Rolling happens more often, sitting up is still supported. No signs of crawling just yet.
“Come on baby let’s do the twist!”
We’re still making patty cakes and wheels on the bus is getting pretty fun. Graham and Miles are getting better at feeding themselves with the use of handles added to their bottles.
Time FLYS by so FAST!
