This last weekend came and went so fast! We had Z spending the night with us Friday and Saturday night and our clan came over on Sunday for a Father’s Day feast.
We kept ourselves busy by staying up too late watching movies (Blue Valentine, Good Hair and Wanted). On Saturday we drove up to Marysville and participated in the Strawberry Festival Kids’ Parade. Our SNOMOMS (Snohomish County Mother’s of Multiples) club was participating in the mini parade to help promote our group.
We rounded up some of our group:
Walked down “main” street, practicing our parade wave:
And snagged a few group shots at the end.
On our way back to the car we saw people walking around with some fair food so we took a detour for a bucket of curly fries to enjoy during the drive home.
Graham and Miles also had some time enjoying the music, we have some new videos posted to YouTube:
Then on Sunday it was Father’s Day. We had ten adults over for a potluck and it was quite the event. It started out nice and calm, sitting around watching the boys play, and THEN it was time for the FOOD!
We made grilled pork ribs for the first time and they turned out remarkable! Among six or seven other things we had grilled corn, which was Miles’s favorite (as usual).
Afterwards we did more gabbing, laughing and watching the boys. When we finally had a little bit of room in our stomachs we dined on home made berry pie and chocolate cake.
What a perfect end to a perfect weekend, we’re so thankful to have so many family members in our lives.
