Yesterday we visited Seward Park in Seattle for the first time and I was blown away. What an amazing space!
The park is located at 5895 Lake Washington Boulevard South in Seattle and it’s huge! From their website they list “Seward Park boasts 300 acres of beautiful forest land, home to eagles’ nests, old growth forest, a 2.4 mile bike and walking path, an amphitheater, a native plant garden, an art studio, miles of hiking trails, shoreline, beaches and more.”
But the feature I was impressed with was their kids’ play area. When we first arrived I thought I’d have a stressful time of keeping track of the boys on the equipment meant for older kids but THEN we went around the corner and there was a beautiful area meant just for tots. Padded with rubber floors there are swings, a climbing tower (complete with wheels to spin) and a great sandbox area.
The boys spent most of their time digging in the sand with the park provided sand tools.
The climbing tower; the slides here are great, they go all the way to the rubber ground so there’s no falling off the end.
It’s a bit of a drive for us but we’ll definitely be back, it’s one of the best tot play yards we’ve ever been to! It did help that while we were there it wasn’t overcrowded so the boys got their pick of things to play with.
