My wonderful cousin threw us a baby shower over the weekend to help us celebrate the soon to arrive baby girl in our family. It was such a perfect afternoon. Traffic was really light for us driving down to their house and the weather was gorgeous.
We were greeted with a cheerful table set up in their back yard with tasty refreshments. They had cloth napkins and mason jars for beverages, which I know is an every day thing for them but was just so charming and really went perfectly with sitting under the shade of their large trees, chatting away the afternoon with family and friends.
(Thanks Erin for sharing the pictures you took with me!)
It was a family baby shower which was perfect for this group of kiddos which made quick friends.
Here they’re all gathered around the kids’ coloring table having a great time together. And it was so wonderful for us adults still in the back yard, enjoying the extra time to get to talk with each other and have actual conversations because the kids were all entertained.
Busy minds at work!
Erin took these pictures for us which was great for me. I could relax knowing some mementos were being captured without having to worry about bringing my own camera or asking people to gather for a group picture.
Our family of four before we become five.
Thanks again for the pictures Erin!
Joel snagged a few pictures too. Here’s our group sitting around talking and enjoying the day.
And more of the coloring action. I like this one because it captures Miles so beautifully.
And Graham at the other side of the table checking out how the older kids color.
We gathered around and opened gifts, we were blessed with a LOT of clothes. Many were hand me downs which is so sweet to know our little girl will wear things other wonderful girls have worn before her. Miles and Graham helped us open all the packages.
Instead of a guest book, Erin put together this beautiful wall hanging with strips of fabric everyone could write their well wishes on.
Thanks again to Erin and her family for hosting such a lovely day for us. We were showered with so many blessings and we’re looking forward to the arrival of our little girl.
