After a SNOMOMS mom’s night out event at Lighthouse Park in Mukilteo, I was reminded how wonderful this waterfront spot is. I was so inspired by the park that I organized a dinner picnic for our family with Nana and Papa coming along to help with the boys.
We set up dinner at a picnic table and Nana and Papa took the boys to the fence every time a train came by.
They LOVED it! Train after train came by while we were there and after all the Mighty Machine episodes they’ve been watching it was great for them to see some real live trains in action in person.
They also had fun on the playground and explored the beach a bit with Nana and Papa.
It was a beautiful evening and a wonderful little outing.
I also decided to organize a SNOMOMS playdate at the park so the boys could go back and I could have some extra hands and eyes to help keep track of the boys.
Graham LOVED swinging this time.
He’s pretty cautious about slides and going to high on the swings but this time he was all smiles and giggles.
We brought our digging toys and trucks and shared with our group exploring the rocky rocky beach. It was a chilly morning and pretty breezy but at least that meant we had a lot of the place to ourselves.
Time for some digging.
By the time it was lunch time a train was coming by which was PERFECT. It got all the boys running over to our table to stand on the bench to watch the train.
Miles and Graham talked the whole time the train went by. Counting trains, talking about the colors shouting out about how big the train was.
It was a great little outing with friends.
